In an effort to pick up the pace somewhat in science class, we used our study skills time to reinforce note taking while viewing the video "Strange Days on Planet Earth" . We are also highlighting the concept of invasive species while learning how to identify key facts amongst the four case studies being presented in the video.

This morning we departed from our study of cellular mitosis and began our study of ecosystems and natural selection. We will continue to develop this idea by breeding Chinese preying mantis over the course of the next few weeks while looking at a variety of relationships from symbiosis to mutualism. We will also be looking at the video series "Strange Days on Planet Earth" that provides excellent case studies on how ecosystems can be negatively impacted by the arrival of invasive species.

Paws and Website Project
Lesson Outline
Bobby will show me what he has completed for the last set of drawing prompts. I will give any feedback if needed.
I will introduce Bobby to a visual artist, painter, graphic designer, Paws. This artist has moved from traditional street art to commercial art and created a strong demand for his art.
I will introduce Bobby to the website, capstone project. We will create the legs (shoe customization, Sneak Geek product line, and consignment shop) of Bobby's website. Bobby will be shown a couple About pages from various websites so that he can create his own. I will give Bobby a set of guidelines to follow to create a proper About Page for his website.
