We were scheduled to cover a few more sections on rational expressions. However, I feel that it may be more beneficial to spend Tues and Wed reviewing with Sophie as she takes her test on Friday.

Sophie and I worked on reading comprehension and verbs. She does have a good understanding of both concepts; however she still confuses some of her verbs. We will review them again on Wednesday before her test.

We've completed approx 2/3 of Simon Birch.

We watched approx 1/3 of the Simon Birch film.

We've found audio books for Owen Meaney and Angela's Ashes plus epub books for Sophie to take on her trip.

Sophies attitude seems much better today. I am hoping she can push through the next week and study hard to do well on the final and end on a high note.

Sophie began the class today with " I don't want to have class today". I told her that we needed to have class and get ready for the exam. I asked if the exam was on Friday. She texted Dr. Taylor and informed me that the exam for Spanish would be on Thursday. We were able to get through conjugation of verbs, which she still confuses. I told her that I know she knows how to conjugate now she needs to be able to recognize the regular and irregular verbs. She has much of the material correct she just confuses a few verbs and she lacks the desire to study for a subject she has had for 3 years in a row (she has taken Spanish 1 for 3 years in a row).
