We practiced subtracting one-digit numbers from two-digit numbers to find the difference. Then we practiced subtracting multiples of 10 from numbers between 1 and 100. Next, we practiced solving word problems where we had to find the difference. We practiced drawing pictures to help us solve the problems.

We worked on reading the time on an analog clock. We understand which hand is the hour hand and which hand is the minute hand. For every minute that passes an analog clock moves one tick mark around the clock. We reviewed the fact that when the minute hand is pointing straight up to the 12, we refer to the time as the number the hour hand points to followed by the term o’clock.
