We reviewed the use of the discriminant. We practiced finding the number of solutions to a quadratic equation using the discriminant. Then we completed some homework problems that were not completed using these methods. We reviewed the steps to solving a quadratic equation using the quadratic formula and solved some equations.
We will do a problem sheet involving solving systems of equations. We will use technology to graph the equations in the system and look for the solution as the point or points where the graphs intersect.
