We talked about the days of the week and dates in Spanish.

We practiced how to introduce yourself and ask and respond to routine questions. We practiced numbers, and colors. Also, we practiced the alphabet.

We reviewed the ABC's in Spanish and the ways to greet others in Spanish.

Cabo and I concluded his Spanish 1 year by previewing what awaits him in the next levels of Spanish whether it be in high school, college, or beyond.

He was offered an opportunity to taste authentic Mexican food in the form of a popular candy. We discussed the historical significance of the cuisine of different peoples.

We reviewed the verb Gustar in depth today.

Cabo was shown example sentences on the board. He was asked to manipulate the sentences. He did struggle on the first couple problems, but had corrected his errors by the end of the exercises.

I then previewed Spanish 2 for Cabo. I introduced him to the key concepts of the year including: the idea of two ways of discussing the past.
