Ben and I looked at pictures from other countries and read sentences that detailed the content of the pictures. These sentences focused on our vocabulary for the chapter.
We discussed the grammatical principals of the chapter as they would appear in the sentences.
Ben did a great job of faithfully mimicking my reading of the sentences.
He made some independent connections between the material and items he already knows.
Ben and I reviewed briefly all of the sections of information that he has learned so far. This included weather, seasons, numbers, the alphabet, telling time, gender of nouns, plurality of nouns, and regular verbs.
