Today Gracyn took her first spelling test!! She spelled them all correctly! She got an A+!!! She of course had to share it with everyone! She then read me a few sight word books.
Arianna and I explored the quarter and the dollar today! We observed the colors, shape, and pictures. Then we had to identify them in a group of coins. She did an amazing job! We played some games with Gracyn after.
Today Gracyn and I reviewed her spelling words for her big test tomorrow. She will be taking the words home to study tonight. We spent some time on Reading Eggs in the computer room. In Reading Eggs she wrote a story using pictures. It was a story aabout a dog at the beach. She also read a story on Raz Kids fluency and with prosody! I was so proud of her!
Today Arianna and I explored the dime. We colored a picture of the dime taking note of its unique appearance. We practiced adding various combination of pennies, nickels, and dimes. We ended our time doing Reading Eggs on the iPad. She is doing so well in Reading Eggs!
Gracyn and I continued working on her American Girl Catalog. First we looked through a real category to see the adjectives they used to describe the dolls. This helped us design a plan for her catalog. For each doll we gave a price, description, and we wrote what it is the doll does best or the talent of each doll. We had a lot of fun doing this! We spent the remaining time doing Reading Eggs in the computer room.
