Gwendolyn worked on two enrichment pages today. One on "Melody and Harmony", and the other on 'Tone Color, and Dynamics." She then practiced her current pieces. These enrichment pages will give her help in her ability to use "dynamics" in her piano playing to make the song come alive with interest.

17-2 Ordered Pairs
We learned how to identify and graph points on a Cartesian coordinate system. Then we practiced adding/subtracting negative and positive integers using a number line. We practiced plotting ordered pairs of X and Y coordinates to determine the mystery picture on a coordinate grid.
Lesson 1 – How Do Environmental Changes Affect Organisms?
We learned that the environment is all of the living and nonliving things in nature. All living things depend on their environment for food, air, and water and a safe place to live. In this way, every living thing on earth is connected. Living things that interact with each other form a community. A community of living and the nonliving things around them are called an ecosystem. Bees, birds, flowers, soil, water, and sunlight are all part of an ecosystem. The nonliving environment includes the streets, buildings, bridges, and cars.
