1) Michael and I read and discuss several news articles from the B.B.C. Afterwards, Michael writes a paraphrase for each of the sources, and we read and discuss strategies for improvement.
1) Review yesterday's paraphrasing lesson. Have Michael describe what it means to paraphrase.
2) Practice paraphrasing several primary sources from our textbook. Afterwards, Michael and I edit his ideas using strong verbs and vocabulary.
1)Michael finishes typing and editing his Zombie essay.
2)Michael and I watch an episode of The Walking Dead and he provides a detailed summary of the climactic moment of the video in a written assignment.

Michael and I review semicolons, colons, and commas; Stop and Go punctuation to help elevate this writing skills. Afterwards, we continue working on his Facebook essay body paragraph.
After completing our grammar review, Michael and I discuss how to write the first body paragraph of his Facebook essay, paying particular attention to the insertion of quotations and analysis into this section of his essay.
We've backed up some and are working on basic sentence structure. Ana is unfamiliar with "noun" and "verb" (in English and Portuguese) so we worked on that and I gave her exercises to do.
