We reviewed the identities that we've explored: the Pythagorean Identity, the Tangent Identity and the Cofunction Identities. Then we used the latter to find two different versions of the Pythagorean Identity. We used the graphing calculator to prove that the latter two were indeed valid identities. We also used the calculator to explore the relationship between the sine and cosine on the one hand and the cosecant and secant functions.

This was a Skype session and it was only marginally successful. We established the link with the help of my mobile phone. The Skype call was dropped four or five times and there were periods when the communications were spotty. I'm pretty sure the problem lay with Sophia attempting to receive the session via her mobile phone. Things seemed to be working fine at this end.
We did the class on Skype. Because it was a very long class I gave her a 10-minute break in the middle. But she never came back. It might have been a technical problem, as my attempts to contact her received different answers from Skype ("unable to reach", "No answer", "internal error"). Or she was just tired...
We reviewed all the special right triangle trig functions from 0 to 360 degrees (0 to 2Pi radians) and reviewed their respective cofunctions. We reviewed the Pythagorean Identity and briefly explored manipulating various identities.

We did a sidebar on the binary, octal and hexadecimal number systems. Sophia's attitude is fine. She grasps the material well.
We watched another episode. While explaining the plot to Sophia, she admitted that she was having a difficult time understanding the English spoken during that time period.
