Learned the chord progression and melody lines for We are the People by Empire of the Sun. We employed a muting technique with the picking hand that gives a very percussive sound at certain points of the strum pattern in order to emulate the sound made on the original recording.

Very productive session. Sophia's hand strength is improving very quickly enabling her to finger more complex chord structures. We still have to work on fluidity when playing melody and lead lines. The muting technique used in the song creates a very percussive and syncopated rhythm which is challenging. Sophia did very well with it and will master it with practice.
Sophia was absent today. It was supposed to be a 60 minute session. However, I was 10 minutes late (the PGA bridge), so I logged it as 45 minutes and used the time to prep. I had planned analyzing imagery, but will save it for the next session.
