We are going through a review of all the topics covered this year in math. We will continue this review until the end of the school year, or we will complete all of the information (in which we will continue with new material).
Jackson finished reading "The Canterville Ghost." He answered basic questions about the story and its characters, and we began discussing Oscar Wilde's depiction of both American and British "aristocracy" and how the author plays them against each other, making fun of both equally.
Jackson sketches out three woodworking tools: claw hammer, screwdriver, and wrench. He then views a video on how the Vaughn claw hammer is made. Lastly, Jackson views videos on how lumber and plywood are made. Excellent session.
In this lesson, Jackson listened while I read the synoptic gospel accounts of Jesus' resurrection. As we are in the 40 day period while He walked on Earth and testified to Himself, it is a timely lesson. We will continue next lesson with the beginning of Acts where He ascended and the giving of the Holy Spirit.
We read aloud together, "How to Choose Stocks to Buy" and completed the 5 post-article quiz. Jackson passed the quiz on his second attempt. Overall, he did a great job answering moderate to challenging multiple choice questions. Then, Jackson viewed his portfolio and his cash balance. He decided to narrow the scope of his portfolio stocks. Jackson is doing a great job, especially related to his to steps in the decision-making process.

Jackson did a great job reading an article today and answering moderate to challenging multiple choice questions pertaining to content associated with the article. He is very adept at navigating the site now and looking more at research tools related to stocks prior to making decisions. Those are very positive steps related to analyzing, synthesizing and making judgements.
design fundamentals. Jackson worked more on his designs to show the use of "Op" art. He finished both of them and we looked up several artists and their style of "Op" art, also. Then we looked at the "art nouveau" style to help with our next lesson.
Jackson began reading "The Canterville Ghost," written by Oscar Wilde. This is a longer short story that is broken into chapters. After each chapter, we review and Jackson answers questions about the characters and events.
