Good class. They are all reading. Devin has worked hard to catch up and he's doing a fantastic job. Ashley, as per lately, is really on the ball and has lots of insights into the plot. Sadie has read everything and has a good memory for detail. I am so happy that they are enjoying the novel.

Lesson Outline
She left a puzzle for them to solve. They were given clues and hints about an epidemic in a certain area, and they were to find the cause of it. It was a water pump, every student got it correct. They answered some questions about the project to aid in learning about contaminated water and the damage it can cause. Then, they were each given a mini project, to research and write a paragraph of recent contaminated water in India, Mexico, and Africa (each student had a different area); and write about the causes, the effects and what they did to prevent it.
