We started Act 2 today and in our discussion reviewing Act 1, I was very pleased with how much Michael remembered. He has trouble communicating his thoughts and althoug he knows what he wants to say, often has trouble saying it.

Michael was late today and missed the majority of class. Michael is struggling a bit with this concept. He understands the method for solving but freezes up when a problems looks difficult. I am trying to teach him to stick with the method that he knows and complete the problem one step at a time.

We finished the first act of the play and on the whole, I'm pleased with Michael's progress. The reading is very difficult for him to follow, but he's definitely doing better at picking up information through our conversations. He has trouble remembering the less essential characters, which is something he needs to work on.

Michael is still having trouble with the reading, but is finally starting to understand the story. Granted, it's difficult with the flashbacks, but he's still having trouble remembering any of the details.
1)Review Descriptive Writing: Writing that appeals to the senses; writing that leaves a dominant impression.
2)Assignment: Write a Descriptive essay about our class session that is at least one page in length.
3) Michael and I go for a walk around the school, noting the way things feel, smell, appear, etc. to help us write our descriptive essay.
