Baylie and I worked on her Kahoot review. We made sure to look at the questions from multiple angles in order to better prepare us for the quiz. Baylie took the lead this time in thinking of alternative ways for her teacher to ask about the same information.
She then took the quiz.
She then took notes on the section of the book.
She was given a take-home quiz and we started work on it immediately.
After opening with prayer, Baylie answered questions from Topic 2's text concerning God's moral laws as either absolute, objective, or universal. The questions were in the following forms: essay, matching, table, and T/F .
After opening with prayer, Baylie read her Bible verses aloud and then wrote them one time. She was asked to dissect the verses and create a 5 minute sermon on them. She presented her sermon verbally. She watched a video overview of I Peter and asked me a question about its main idea.
Baylie read chapter four of The Hiding Place. We then used context clues to discuss and predict what the subsequent chapters might reveal. We then discussed and answered the assessment questions that followed the chapter.
Baylie and the instructor finished watching the video on the life of Elinor Young, a missionary to Papua. After watching the video we discussed Ms. Young's life and service. Baylie wrote a summary of the video and submitted it to her teacher at St. Simon's Christian School.
We focused on playing six string E form and Em barre chords, and moving them up and down the neck of the guitar. We also briefly discussed five string A and Am form barre chords, and four string D form barre chords. These will be good for opening up playing songs in keys other than G major, as well as for strengthening the hands.
Assignment
Practice playing through barre chords in different positions on the neck.
Baylie completed her essay exam comparing Asian religions and the effect of Christianity on that society. The exam was submitted to her St. Simons Christian School teacher. For the last portion of the session Baylie and the instructor began watching a video called Bad Legs. It is about a missionary and how she served in Asia.
