Dylan read Chapters 1-3 of Flat Stanley and discussed important lessons learned. Afterward, he responded in a journal with a visual and short response about the story.
We used writing to teach word parts (fireworks, grandma, etc. We played I spy to review letter sounds and blends. We used a sight word game. We also practiced stopping to think about what was read and if it "makes sense."
