Today Ethan is in St. Louis. I came prepared to work with him on virtual school but was informed that he is not going to Skype today.
We will continue with his reading efforts when he returns next Monday.

Today is the first time I have seen Charlie since December 18th! We started reading a new book today titled: "A Land Remembered". This is the student edition and so a little easier to read and comprehend. Charlie underlined 2 words he did not know and then we went to use the computers in the library to look them up. He took a guess at what he thought they meant and he was very close to knowing the words from their context. Bravo Charlie!!

Today Samantha read 2 stories about 4 different Greek Gods/Goddesses... We then discussed the characters and something about their relationships to each other in Mythology. Near the end of class she read a book to one of the girls in kindergarten.

Today we started a NEW book. We started reading the 1st book in the Stink series. It went well and he seemed to be interested in it. We are still reading Diary of a Wimpy Kid. We started playing (and learning about) homonyms.

Today As the substitute Yanuell said he wanted to read more of his Magic Tree House Book. He also wanted to read a super hero book. He was very curious about how Peter Parker became Spider-Man so we researched it.

Today as the substitute for Yanuell we continued reading Spiderman and played 2 games. One was a matching game and the other one was a Go Fish with 10's game. The day was ended with a dance session in the Dojo with Yanuell, Arianna and Gracyn...

Today Yanuell and I read a book that he chose. He was very fascinated with this book.

Today we discussed the books that Ethan has started to read. We made of list of these. We then continued to read the book he is currently reading which is Wimpy Kid series...

Lesson not done as student did not attend today.

Today Charlie and I read a holiday book of his choosing together. He did very well and seemed to enjoy the book.
