Great session. Ayden did and excellent job in developing and writing his responses. He scored 100 on the assessment. Our discussions about each item revealed a fairly broad understanding of the topics presented.
Discuss about project that each student has assigned. Inner planets: Mercury, Venus, Earth, Mars. Talk about rotation and revolution. Watch video that shows some interesting facts for the planets in inner Solar System. Watch another video with animation of rotation and revolution

Very interested in class work and very creative and helpful in solving some project ideas.
Today Ayden was 30 minutes late so we did not have much time. He began with a warm up 2x table drill for time. He beat his last time! Then he began his new Topic in math- Rounding Numbers. Ayden should be able to round numbers to use mental math. Ayden learned three strategies to make mental math more easy. He learned about compensation, breaking apart numbers to make them easier, and counting on strategies. He completed a couple of problems with guidance. This concept is difficult for Ayden because he still does not know his basic addition and subtraction facts. We will have to do further practice in recalling his basic facts each day. Tomorrow we will continue practicing problems in this lesson. Ayden continued with his Fast ForWord program. He is improving at reading the paragraphs more carefully. I am proud of his efforts.
