Patrick practiced his addition facts by playing a speed math game on the iPad.

Patrick continued with reading Dinosaurs Before Dark. We read Chapter 8 together. He is doing extremely well using his structure words, and complete sentences to describe the happenings in the story. The prize box has been an extra incentive, so he is excited to express as many details, independently, as possible. I am always anxious to hear his descriptions. In FF, Patrick broke one of his records in Leaping Lizard. Great job, Patrick!

I took Patrick to the beach where he made various landforms and bodies of water in the sand. He did an excellent job. He made mountains, plateaus, hills, valleys, plaines, lakes, rivers, islands and a peninsula. We had an amazing time and a great learning experience.

Patrick and I reviewed sight words through repeated reading and spelling.

Today I introduced pictographs. We practiced reading and interpreting graphs with various keys. Patrick did well with this:)

Today Patrick interpreted bar graphs by answering various questions about the information presented in the graphs. Then we reviewed 3-digit addition with regrouping and 2-digit subtraction without regrouping.
