Moving into the skype lab definitely helped WIll. Without any outside distractions, he was much more focused and seemed to have little trouble with the exercises.
Will had a little trouble focusing today as there were other kids in the computer lab and any extra sounds distracts him. So I decided to move into the Skype lab and he was able to focus much more easily.
We didn't get a full class today because of the birthday celebration. (For the record, I was EXTREMELY pleased with Will's participation in that.) Will had a little trouble getting focused, and I think the time crunch distracted him. But he was able to get one exercise done and seemed to pull it together toward the end.
Will have very little trouble with the fastforword today. He got right to work and seemed to have no problems with focusing. He continues to amaze me with his ability to hear and order sounds.
Will had a little trouble with the video/story drills, especially with the part where it describes a picture and he has to choose the correct one. It lists multiple details and I've noticed that the more complex it is, the more trouble he has with it. However, he did exceptionally well with the sound recognition and order. That seems to be his strongest area.
Will had a little bit of trouble focusing today. I think headphones will help him stay focused. It seems the more people there are in the lab, the more he has trouble. Today he again had a lot of trouble with the picture/video exercises. I noticed today that he sort of zones out on the longer story/descriptions. We'll work on keeping focused.
