Today Will completed the following activities on Fast ForWord: Gator Jams, Lana's Lanes and Wood Works. In the activity Gator Jam, Will had to choose the correct word to complete an analogy. Will did fantastic choosing the correct word to complete an analogy when they involved synonyms. In activity Lana's Lanes Will had to read a passage. He then had to complete graphic organizers and answer comprehension questions about the passage he had read. Will did a great job filling in the tables in the graphic organizers. In Wood Works, Will had to listen to a word and determine if it contained the following consonant patterns “t, tt or ed” or “r, rr, or wr”. Will had the greatest success finding the words that contained the letters “r” and “rr”.

In the activity Wood Works Will had to listen to a word and determine which vowel sounds were in that word. Will did extremely well on this activity today only making 6 errors. In the activity Toad Loader, Will had to complete a sentence using correct grammar to describe a picture. Will did a great job identifying passive voice, simple negation and attributive/ stative. Today in the activity Quack Splash will was able to answer 75% of the paragraph completion level 3 questions correctly. Good work today Will!

Then he had to answer ordering questions about what he had just read. Will did the best on paragraph completion and ordering questions. In the activity Toad Loader, Will had to complete a sentence using correct grammar to describe a picture. Will did a great job determining the correct pronouns and prepositional phrases. In Wood Works, Will had to listen to a word and determine if it contained the following consonant patterns “t, tt, or ed” or “n, nn, or kn”. This was the most challenging activity for Will today. Will continued to work and stay focused even on the more difficult sections. Great work Will!

Will did very well on the hard graphic organizer questions today! In Wood Work's, Will had to listen to words and determine the correct spelling pattern. These words contained the letters “d, dd, or ed” or “ll, y, w, or e”.

Many of these questions include a graphic organizer. Will was able to answers over half of the questions correctly. In Wood Work's, Will had to listen to words and determine whether the words contain the spelling pattern “j, h, g or y” or “es, s, ex, sh”.

Will worked very hard and stayed focused throughout the entire session!
