Today Will completed the following activities on Fast ForWord: Quack Splash, Toad Loader, and Wood Works. In the activity Quack Splash, Will began by reading a passage. Then he had to answer ordering questions about what he had just read. Will did the best with sentence and paragraph ordering. In the activity Toad Loader, Will had to complete a sentence using correct grammar to describe a picture. Will did extremely well on that activity. In the activity Wood Works Will had to listen to a word and determine which vowel sounds were in that word.
Today Will completed the following activities on Fast ForWord: Lana's Lanes, Toad Loader and Wood Works. In the activity Wood Works Will had to listen to a word and determine which vowel sounds were in that word. These sounds include long –o, oi, ou, and schwa. In the activity Toad Loader, Will had to complete a sentence using correct grammar to describe a picture. Will did a great job identifying commonly misused verbs and prepositional phrases. In Lana's Lanes Will had to read a passage and then complete graphic organizers and answer comprehension questions about the passage he had read. Will did very well answering the summary questions.

Then he had to answer ordering questions about what he had just read. This was the most challenging activity for Will today. Will did very well on the Toad Loader activity. In this activity Will had to choose the correct sentence fragments to correctly describe a picture. Will did very well determining the prepositional phrases, appositive phrase and commonly misused verbs. In the activity Wood Works Will had to listen to a word and determine which vowel sounds were in that word. These sounds include long –o, oi, ou, and schwa.

He then had to complete graphic organizers and answer comprehension questions about the passage he had read. This was Will’s most challenging activity today. In Wood Works, Will had to listen to a word and determine if it contained the following letters in it: z, s, or th and l, r, or w. In the activity Toad Loader, Will had to complete a sentence using correct grammar to describe a picture. Will did a great job choosing the correct simple modifier and prepositional phrase!
Today Will completed the following activities on Fast ForWord: Gator Jams, Quack Splash and Toad Loader. In the activity Gator Jam, Will had to choose the correct word to complete an analogy. Will did fantastic choosing the correct word to complete an analogy when they involved synonyms and tools used by a person. In the activity Quack Splash, Will began by reading a passage. Then he had to answer ordering questions about what he had just read. Will did the best on paragraph completion questions. Will did extremely well on Toad Loader today. In the activity Toad Loader, Will had to complete a sentence using correct grammar to describe a picture. Will chose the correct passive voice 90% of the time! Awesome work today Will!

Will did extremely well when the analogy used antonyms and tools a person would use. In Lana's Lanes Will had to read a passage and then complete graphic organizers and answer comprehension questions about the passage he had read. This was the most difficult activity for Will today. He is continuing to practice using graphic organizers in his language arts class with Ms. Katie. In Wood Works, Will had to listen to a word and determine if it contained the following letters in it : are, air, or ar and z, s or th.

In Lana's Lanes Will had to read a passage and then complete graphic organizers and answer comprehension questions about the passage he had read. Will did much better on this activity today, than last class. He was able to answer 63% of the questions correct compared to the 29% on 9/29/14! In Wood Works, Will had to listen to a word and determine if it contained the following letters in it: u, u_e, ew or ue and are, air or ar.
