Today was an excellent work with both at the same time like in regular class with more kids. They were helping each other to find what is the name of the planet that we are talking about. All students in school are studying the same for the show and they will have quiz/test on this material.
I substituted for Cal today, and played No Stress Chess with Anna and Quinn. They were both very well behaved and a lot of fun to work with. Quinn got a little distracted as the game went on, but was very easy to get back on task. Anna seemed to have no problem staying focused. They both were very pleasant and there were no problems while we played.
Students find the sum of three addends using any order. Three or more whole numbers can be grouped and added in any order. They were using associative and commutative properties of addition. Learn different ways to add three numbers. Practice, two worksheet were used.

Quinn needs more time to solve the problem, and he needs to work harder on adding doubles.
Quinn- worked on digraphs ch and th. Still needs work on them. Has a hard time with ending sounds.
Anna- Spelling and sentence writing. Working with nouns.

Quinn-Encouraged him to use his reading strategies! Quinn does an awesome job at putting his sentences together.
We watched an "Oh Noah" episode on PBS about numbers and playground things, then played some games that reinforce vocabulary. We also spent 1/2 hour at the piano.
Students will use commutative property to find sums. Two numbers can be added in any order. Write the number sentence and then write the turn-around fact. Complete three worksheets. There is always an enrichment-worksheet, student's choice.
