Deep breathing practice (breathing in, hold, count, release slow); new poses: turtle, bridge, wheel, candlestick (shoulderstand); review of king cobra, sphinx, mountain/volcano; star/victory. 5 min exercise ball; 5 min free play; 5 min relaxation with blankets and music. We reviewed class policies of safety, respect and listening.

Quinn had to be settled down several times, but I continued to review our rules and policies for safety. We used a short timeout for him where he sat on the blanket. When he was ready after a minute or two, he joined the class. Otherwise, he did well in several poses and continued to try when it was difficult for him. Anna listens well and is very adept at all the yoga poses.
Discuss about each planet-model, their characteristics, color, size, number of moons and rings, rotation, and other.
Using cards(with written properties) and models students will answer to the question related to the certain planet.

Students like the activity with the planet-models, and they were able to answer to all questions (Quinn with help).
Review: adding 0,1,2, doubles. After teacher's examples, we switch, teacher become student.
New lesson: Near Doubles
Using doubles fact to solve a near doubles fact. Activity; using cubes to show the facts. Practice: two worksheets.

Lesson Outline
Continue with basic technique, musical notation, and exercises for both Ana and Quinn.
Ana: Continue working on single note finger exercises and the song Stepping and Skipping.
Quinn: Continue working on fretting single notes and 3 string chords G and C.
Assignment
Ana: Practice the exercise and "Stepping and Skipping" song. Quinn: Practice strumming and switching between the G and C chords.

Ana became very frustrated and upset again. There is really no other way to develop the tecnique necessary for piano than repetition. I really do not want music to be a source of stress for her, so we may need to think about her picking up a different instrument.
Quinn did very well with forming and strumming his chords. Again, repetition and practice will help his strength and coordination.
Again, once Ana became upset, we spent time doing sing along songs and playing some percussion instruments.
