We used a picture book as a starting off point to talk about Mexico. We reinforced the verb "vamos" (let's go) and common descriptive vocabulary: colors, modes of transportation, common animals, etc.
Anna and Quinn both had a very good day behavior wise. They were focused and there were no issues. The game itself could have gone better, but for the most part I was very pleased. They've come a long way, and if they focus they are more than capable of playing the game.

Lesson Comments
Quinn did a great job playing the basic rock beat, and I think he is understanding the way that eighth notes and quarter notes relate and work together to create a rhythm or beat. We even introduced a simple sixteenth note fill that he was able to start incorporating into the basic rock beat.
