A Beautiful Buccaneer: The story of Mary Read, dressed as a boy and became a buccaneer working on a ship with men.Later to join the army and married a man, also in the army. The amazing story teaching about islands of caribbean, mapping and use of the compass, in the 1700's.

We used cookie cutters and Anna and Quinn rolled out cookie shapes of yoga positions and pumpkins and skeletons. They did a great job with listening to directions. Our cookies turned out perfect!

New World Explorers: Anna and Quinn did a great job today as they were introduced to Ponce De Leon, naming our state "Florida". The Lewis & Clark Expedition, crossing from St. Lewis to the Pacific Ocean. They had a fun time learning about the history of the New World. Great job Anna and Quinn.

Today Anna and Quinn worked on lesson 2-8 in the Envision textbook. Lesson 2-8 focused on adding 3 digit numbers. Quinn and Anna had to find the actually answer and the estimated answer when adding 3 digit numbers. They compared their 2 answers to see if their estimation was reasonable. We completed the guided practice on pg. 54 together. They each did very well on their independent practice questions 7-11.
