Anna- Wilson- We reviewed digraphs, blends, and digraph blends. Anna had a difficult time identifying theses in words and was still getting them confused. We will continue to work on this.
Spelling- Introduced new words for the week and inputed them into quizlet.
Quinn - He was sick today.

Anna and I read a book about Cinco de Mayo, then we watched two videos depicting children dancing the Spanish Hat Dance. Quinn was not feeling well so he did not attend class.

Discuss the procedure for the activity. Watch the video about simple machines. Make the scale that will be used the next class for measuring the force.

Anna finished the listening section of the test. She is finished! I am so proud of her hard work!
Quinn started the language vocabulary section.

Anna worked diligently on the reading and listening portions of the test. She is almost done!

Today I subbed in for Miss Debbie. Quinn and Anna had an opportunity to play some academic games. They played Guess Who? This is a game that requires asking yes and no questions only. Each player must ask questions to guess the other's character. They may ask questions pertaining to facial hair, hair color, glasses, hats, etc. The players must eliminate their options as quickly as possible so they may guess to win. We had a nice time.

Discuss about simple machines and talk about one type of them- levers. Activity: make a lever-wheelbarrow.

We read the My Daddy is a Pretzel book and did some of the poses in the book. We then did stretches, push-ups and jack-knives with the large exercise ball. Quinn wanted to practice his jumping through the large hoops, so Anna and he both created hoop jumps and gymnastics through the hoops. Today was a very active, aerobic class.

We looked at the geography of Central and South America using Google Earth. We also looked at Russia and the Greek Islands at Quinn and Anna's request. Quinn was particularly interested in Google Earth.
