Today and often on Monday Quinn has hard time to focus on the class work.
Good deeds. We read a book about clifford the Big Red Dog and Good Deeds, and had the kids discuss good deeds that they've done. We also went outside and played a little, practicing our action words.
Anna and Quinn both worked on Raz-kids reading. They listen then read a story and answer comprehension questions. Introduced new spelling words and practiced them on quizlet.
Quinn, Anna and I researched the Lost Colony of Roanoke which is in present-day North Carolina. They chose pictures of the Lost Colony. We will continue studying Roanoke next week.
We read through the rest of the ABC Kids Yoga book and discovered some new poses: shark, side plank, otter, We also practiced lunges, lizard, baby and flying dragon poses (variations on lunges). Balancing poses: crane into airplane. Yoga game: roll the dice and do a pose or movement the number of times on the dice. We ended class with some deep breathing.
