Anna-Wilson- Syllable division and spelling- Anna is having a difficult time encoding.
Quinn-Wilson- Quinn worked on memorizing the key words for the welded sounds- We did this by playing a matching game.
We reviewed the 3 major mountain ranges in the united States. Quinn and Anna finished drawing plants and animals found in these mountain ranges in their booklets.
We went on to the forest habitat. I taught them the 3 different types of forests. We looked up a Utube presentation on the 3 types of forests. They started drawing plants and animals found in these forests. Lastly, we played Habitat Hangman.
Anna- Wilson- Introduced suffix endings ed and ing. Anna did very well with these.
Quinn- Wilson- Reading and spelling words welded sounds. Quinn still needs more time to commit these to memory before he can move on.
LA- Read parts of a chapter book and worked on building a movie in our heads to help with understanding.
Anna and Quinn were exceptionally well behaved today. I think they might be ready to start playing the game without the cards. I'm going to slowly incorporate that into our classes.
Complete the worksheets from previous lesson/subtracting two digit numbers.
Activity: make a market plaza with different stores and different items. Student will decide what will buy. Subtract to find how much money is left.
