Today Anna and Quinn learned about the different parts of animals in science.They completed the lesson 6 outline as we read the lesson together. Anna and Quinn learned about cells, tissues, organs and organ systems. They also learned what parts of the body protect and support animals as well as how they collect information and take in and and get rid of materials. At the end of class Anna and Quinn played a characteristic game. They had to guess an animal based on yes and no questions about the animals characteristics.

Lesson Outline
Today Anna and Quinn completed lesson 2-2. This lesson focused on adding numbers using a hundred chart. Anna and Quinn determined how many rows they needed to go down by looking at the number in the tens place. Then they counted to the right the number in the ones place. Anna and Quinn completed the guided and independent practice problems in the textbook.

Today Anna and Quinn began chapter 2. Today's lesson, lesson 2-1 focused on the properties of addition. The identity (zero), associative (grouping) and the communitative (order) properties. Anna and Quinn made a foldable and wrote examples of each of these properties. They completed the Independent practice on page 33 in their textbook.

Lesson Outline
Anna and Quinn used their animal research to make a diorama. The began by writing about what their animals eat, where they live and a description of their animal. Anna made her diorama on a horse and Quinn did his on a gray wolf. They had to show what the animals habitat looks like. They also had to provide a source of food and water for their animal.

Today Anna and Quinn cut their cartons so that the buildings would all be different heights. In this project we are going to be incorporating visual texture through pattern and rubbings. Anna and Quinn started adding their rubbings to create architectural details on their buildings. They also planned out what other features they wanted to include into their city such as a park and pumpkin patch.
