Brandon chose to complete his Business Dynamics exam today and worked really hard to get a 94/100! The test took a while, but Brandon was able to remember the course terminology and concepts. Afterwards, we continued working through his paper. On this particular section, Brandon chose to write about how corporate and franchisees work together to cultivate a great company culture. Brandon wrote that corporate makes sure that franchisees are doing things the "Dunkin'" way, which makes the small business owners keep their customer service and bakes goods Dunkin's superior standards. He also discussed how Dunkin' owners are able to set their own prices. Good work. The essay is coming along nicely.

Psych. Exam, Business Dynamics Paper
Lesson Outline
Brandon tackled his Introduction to Psych. exam and scored a 96/100! The test was pretty laborious, and Brandon used all of the allotted 110 minutes to great use. After taking a small break, Brandon was back track with his paper, adding several points to what he had already written and making any necessary revisions. He is getting better and better at his time management skills, tackling harder assignments at school and completing at-home things that require less time.

Lesson Outline
Using his time wisely, Brandon decided to tackle his smaller discussion board and class assignments so that he could focus on writing his essay due Thursday. Brandon was able to get through two of his B.D assignments, quiz, and discussion board posts for Intro. to Psych. Afterwards, he tackled the first body paragraph of his essay. We have a lot to do this week, and Brandon rose to the occasion during our session to get the most of our time together.

Product Liability

We finished up talking about the different warranties and then talked about product liability. Brandon enjoyed talking about all there different cases (i.e. cigarettes, McDonalds, etc...) He's definitely more interested in the application of the law than the technical rules of it. We did not get to the discussion post, but set up a time in the morning to work on it.

We finished up covering the UCC today. Brandon was a little more focused and is retaining a good bit of the information. He has a solid understanding of the formation and enforcement of contracts. We started talking about different types of express and implied warranties, and will finish it up tomorrow.

Lesson Outline
Brandon completed the required article review for Business Ethics, writing about how one of the course concepts connected to an article of his choice. Afterwards, we created an outline for his 5-7 page paper, brainstorming different concepts that we could discuss in relation to Dunkin' Donuts. Brandon chose to write about the following concepts: multi-national corporation, franchiser, franchisee, structure, company culture, corporate social responsibility. We began working on Brandon's introduction.

Brandon completed the corresponding quiz for chapters 10 and 11 in Business Dynamics, scoring a 10/10! He then began work on his two primary posts for Intro. to Psych., which asked him to discussion classical conditioning and its corresponding components. Brandon used his fear of his brother's ventriloquist doll as an example, saying that his neutral reaction (fear to the doll) was exacerbated by watching the film "Child's Play," which features the scary, murderous doll Chucky as the film's villain. Brandon indicated that his conditioned response was that the refused to go up to the attic in fear of his brother's doll, which was heightened by the movie.
