Brandon has finished everything in intercultural communication but the final test. He didn't want to take it today, so he worked on his math assignment.
Brandon and I finished 5/5 discussion posts today in Intercultural Communication. Brandon responded to the issue of designating English as the official language, breastfeeding in public, and the idea of intercultural communication as it is manifested in immigration. Overall, this was a very productive session. Nice work, Brandon.
Brandon and I spent some time on his Intercultural Communication Discussion Board posts, reading the article about how females in France are prohibited from wearing Islamic scarves and then posting a response to this issue. In general, Brandon expressed that from a political standpoint, this issue was a way of ensuring that women were not hiding weapons of terror, but from a civil liberties point-of-view, this was completely unacceptable.
For our usual beginning of the week routine, Brandon and I outlined the assignments for Week 6 in each of his classes. This week, Brandon finishes the Intercultural Communication course and College Algebra II class, which will give us some time to focus on College English before his Business Ethics course begins on Feb. 19th. In College English, Brandon and I completed the Reading, Listening, and Viewing portion of the course, but the professor did not post any other of the week's reading, so we moved onto Intercultural Communication and began reading some articles.
Brandon finished up his paper and completed a couple of his discussion posts. He also has a test this week, but we've organized all the material into an easy reference list.
Brandon started working on his final paper for this class today. It's only a two page paper and I expect him to finish it tomorrow. He should be in great shape for this class that ends this week.
Brandon and I read through each of this week's assignments and created a timeline for each of the courses. We then began watching several of the videos for College Composition and ended with an outline of his introduction to Essay # 2.
Brandon and I were able to complete his Essay #2, revising the completed sections and finishing his conclusion. Overall, the essay was strong, and I am excited to see his professor's comments.
Today, Brandon and I spent the majority of our class watching and reading several articles and videos for the reading, listening, and viewing section of the class. We got a lot of the assigned work done for this week, but we still have his essay to work on tomorrow.
Brandon and I revised the introduction to his Essay # 2 and then spent some time writing the body of his essay. In general, this was a very arduous process, as Brandon had to consider and address the limitations of some of the arguments that he made (i.e. world hunger can be solved by having people donate more). In the end, Brandon was able to produce a very good body paragraph, and I am very proud of how this essay is progressing.
