As usual, Brandon and I spent our Monday session by creating a timeline of this week's assignments for each class. Afterwards, we spent some time first writing the introduction of the essay that we outlined last week, and then by watching several videos for the class.
Today, Brandon and I spent some time revising his Process Analysis essay on how to prepare for a job interview, and we also spent some time polishing the first draft of his essay on ending world hunger. I encouraged Brandon to think of each aspect of his argument in both essays, clarifying points that were a big vague, etc.

Brandon asked me to stay and help him with both essays during his independent math time.
Brandon finished up all of his discussion posts for the week, and decided to not write the intercultural communication paper until next week. I at least got him agree to take the book home and do all his prep work for the paper over the weekend. He spent the rest of the session finishing his math.
Brandon did not want to start on his paper for intercultural communication that is due on the 12th. Instead he tried to do composition discussion posts, but the video he had to base it on wasn't working. So, he decided to use the time to get his math done for the week.
Brandon finished up his paper and all his editing work. All he had left to do was his composition discussion posts. He whipped those out and was finished for the week.
Brandon finished up his discussion posts today and did a very good job. It's definitely getting easier for him to craft his own posts. He's in good shape for the week.
Brandon continued work on his Process/Argument Paper, looking into ways that he can use logos, ethos, and pathos to make his arguments more persuasive. As a person who has a personal interest in this issue, it seems that Brandon has made some very incisive points of reasoning, and I am excited to see where his paper will end.
Brandon and I read through his lecture materials, watching the corresponding videos as indicated. Afterwards, we continued work on his latest process/argument paper. Brandon has chosen to write about solving world hunger, which will make for an interesting paper.
