Interesting lesson. We began review but became sidetracked when Joe indicated there was a job prospect for him. We spent the ramaining time working on interviewing, researching the company and making an interview appointment. Joe reported that he was interviewed and is completing an application.
Joey is having some difficulty remembering the location of his skate spots. This is making the whole process take more time. We finished our time together today. I told him to use the MacPro and finish the app on his own time. After he finishes it, I will help him submit the app for review to Apple.
We continued to work on the outline that Joey was writing in response to the prompt "No pain, no gain." His topic was stopping smoking. We went over an outline for "Do you agree with the idea that the strong do what they wish?" We next read a persuasive op-ed article about better ways to teach math to US students to which he could relate.
We reviewed strategies that Joey should use as he reads non-fiction material in order to understand the information. Then we read several articles. We also went over new words in a vocabulary lesson and Joey practiced using them.

Good progress. Joey is doing very well on his app. As we are nearing the end of our time together he will need to continue working on his own to finish the app.
