It is very challenging to keep Remington engaged and focused to complete the work.
We completed all of lesson except the phrase/sentence work and syllabication
We will begin with a review of trapezoids and parallelograms. We will use the properties of these figures to solve problems. We will then study the rhombus and identify the properties of a rhombus and compare them to the properties of a parallelogram. I have prepared a notes sheet on the properties of quadrilaterals that we will be using for the next several classes. It was sent by email and should be printed for additional notes to be added.
Discuss the events of 09/11/2021 and how they affected the nation and the world. Write a three-paragraph essay from the point-of-view of a survivor due to the fact that they stopped to get band-aids because their feet had blisters thus making them late for work and avoiding the catastrophe.
The teacher read a book aloud to the student and introduced vocabulary about the seasons in Spanish. The student completed four worksheets on the seasons, practiced repeating the words after the teacher, and responded when asked about her favorite season. Afterwards, the teacher presented the days of the week in Spanish, and the student practiced by repeating them aloud.

The teacher reviewed previously learned vocabulary (meses, dias, y rutina) with the student, reinforcing correct pronunciation and usage. The student then completed three vocabulary exercises independently.
Ben and I discussed paraphrasing as saying it in your own words while keeping the same meaning. Ben read over the examples. Next, we worked on advanced grammar including verb tense, parallelism, punctuation, conjunctions, and word choice.
The student worked on two practice activities: regular verbs (verbos regulares) and the present progressive (presente progresivo). The student was absent.
Aiden reviewed the various characters in the novel. He began writing character traits and ideas for each character in the book. We will continue with this tomorrow as he didn't finish.
