Continue Watching The Crucible
Lesson Outline
Emma was able to view Act Two through the first scenes of Act Three of The Crucible. We discussed the capricious nature of Reverend Hale, who at once questioned the validity of the Proctors and yet attempted to protect them in the same vein. We talked about the character of Abigail Williams and her sincere belief in her "powers" of witch hunter. Emma noted the hypocrisy of the Puritan structure during the trials, rightly pointing out that there was "no defense" for those charged except to sacrifice their religious beliefs and confess to witchery.

Hypothesis Testing - Two populations
Lesson Outline
We went over several problems which focused on choosing the appropriate test depending upon the stated claim to be tested. We worked on how to differentiate between when an interval is more useful than a test statistic, and then we began working with tests and intervals for two populations. We made sure to use the formula sheet that will be the AP Statistics Exam and verify answers using the TI84 calculator.

We determined table format and graphs which she will include in the paper. We spoke at length about how to make her introductory paragraph interesting and how to back it up with fact. We went over parenthetical references and I provided several links to resources which will further assist her in writing her report.
