Reviewed solving multi-step equations and Compound Inequalities. We then covered Absolute Value equations and Inequalities. Assessed on those topics the second hour of the session. Briefly introduced systems of equations. Will build on that topic next session.

Worked through introductory mathematics as a prerequisite for Algebra 2 coursework. This includes solving linear equations in one variable, and linear inequalities. Tomorrow we will continue with a brief review of these concepts, then advance to Absolute Value equations and inequalities. The plan is to quiz over these concepts the latter half of tomorrow's session.

We reviewed the study guide I had made for Gio a month ago.

We revised extensively the PPT on illegal immigration and crime and Gio practiced presenting several times.

Gio reviewed his past tests and quizzes. I asked him questions, and prepared diagrams for him to label, and discussed the main themes of his last few months of class.

We did problems from Ch. 5-9 to get ready for the final exam.

We worked on the PowerPoint, finalizing details and starting the Works Cited

We continued working in Ch. 8 simplifying radical expressions and solving radical equations.

Gio and I completed the next draft of the PPT presentation
