We did problems from Ch. 9-3 Geometric Sequences and 9-4 Arithmetic Series.

We completed the assignment for the book, using Chapter 10, Hilda and Robert's wife. We located relevant bible verses as well.

We reviewed a Jeopardy game and study guide to prepare for test on two chapters.

We focused on Ch. 8-3 Rational Functions and Their Graphs focusing on how to determine the holes, vertical asymptotes, and horizontal asymptotes and factoring the numerator and denominator. He practiced entering the functions into his calculator and using the resulting table to determine where the holes, etc. are located.

We did problems from Ch. 8-3 Rational Functions and Their Graphs, 8-4 Rational Expressions, 8-5 Adding and Subtracting Rational Expressions, and 8-6 Solving Rational Equations.

Reef Formations -
Gio answered the chapter questions on reef formation, and studied the vocabulary words associated with this unit. He labeled a diagram of a coral and described the various ways corals and other species work together to create a reef. He also compared and contrasted the three main types of reef formations: Atoll, Barrier, and Fringe.

We did problems from Ch. 8-6 Solving Radical Equations the entire time.

I helped Gio with his English assignment today. We revised his outline and added information and citations per teacher's instructions. I e-mailed Mom with notes on what more needed to be done by Gio tonight before submitting tomorrow. He will need to check citations/sources highlighted.

We did problems from the book for Ch. 8-3 Rational Functions and Their Graphs and 8-4 Adding and Subtracting Rational Expressions. With continued effort, Gio has vastly improved his performance on these sections and is able to complete the longer problems from 8-4 independently.
