Then, Arianna and I reviewed equivalent fractions before she completed a correlating lesson on Khan Academy. Finally, a spiral review on reading number words, long division, fractions, and multiplication and subtraction word problems was completed.

Fractions
Lesson Outline
Arianna began her time with a spiral review on matching fractions to their models and division and fraction word problems. Today's lesson looked at how fractions describe equal parts and how fractions and division relate. Arianna completed problems, telling what fraction each person gets if items were shared equally and practiced writing the fraction as division. Then, online Arianna solved long division problems, 25 multiplication facts, and 25 division facts. We finished with a game of Farkle. This is a really fun dice game which uses strategy, luck, and 6 dice to build scores with different dice combinations while knowing when to stop rolling as to not lose points. Arianna used mental math, adding 50s, 100s, and 1,000s, to tally her score.

Lesson Comments
This was an off day for Arianna. She was with Jayne during this class and they were not meshing. I tried as hard as I could to let them have an opportunity to do what they each wanted to do, but it was not good.
