No school today due to storm.

Jason was absent today.

We began to look at the science kit Jason received from his mom but most of the activities required work in the kitchen, so we instead read about the different science experiments in the kit, and identified the tools in it. Jason was able to explain their function. His mom came to pick him up from school early so he was dismissed from class early this Friday afternoon.

Jason started a seed log book. He planted corn seeds, bean seeds and squash seeds in a baggie using paper towels as soil. We hope to see seedlings on Monday.

Jason learned how to assemble a solar powered car.

Jason learned about catapults. Using rubber bands, craft sticks, and a plastic spoon he learned how to make a catapult, turning energy into motion.

Jason completed his STEM Project, a battery-operated glider.

Jason worked on assembling a small battery operated glider.

We watched a science video on how bees make honey. He wrote in his interactive notebook facts about how bees make honey.

Jason watched a science video on the Bumble Bee. We had a discussion as to the jobs the different bees had.
