1. Error ID's - Student is given a sentence with several underlined words or phrases. The student decides which of the underlined words or phrases contains an error. If none of the words or phrases contain and an error, the student may choose "E."
2. Improving Sentences - The student is given a sentence. Part of the sentence is underlined. The answer choices give options of other ways to write the underlined part of the sentence. The student should choose the BEST answer.

Katherine did well on most of the drills that she completed today. We discussed several common errors, some of which are so common in America that very few people realize that they are actually errors.
1. After talking about what makes a good essay, Katherine will read, compare and score two essays on the same topic.
2. Read an essay prompt and: a) write a thesis statement, b) brainstorm, c) write an introduction paragraph, d) write body paragraphs, d) write a conclusion

Katherine is an incredibly talented writer who would like to study journalism in college. She has the ability to receive a perfect score on the essay portion of the SAT after practicing writing within the time limit.
She felt that the essay that she wrote on the practice SAT (taken on Saturday) was not as good as the one that she wrote in class because she was not sure how much time was left and rushed it.
