Today's lesson was to spend the first part of class reading. Follow-up discussion topics would have addressed Charlie's childhood and how it may have affected who he became. The writing exercise would have been to define the literary term, allusion, and then to answer questions about how it is used in the book.

Aubrey was given a text to read about reproductive behavior. Once she read the section, we watched a series of related videos showing the reproductive behavior of blue footed boobies, turkeys and peacock spiders. Aubrey was tested on the themes presented in the text.
