The geological eras -
Paige addressed her 5 meter time-line, and marked the Cenozoic, Mesozoic, Paleozoic eras with a colored pencil. Once her table was complete she was tasked with answering several questions provided by her instructor. These questions included finding the percentage of the time-line, each era represented. She can now return to Ohio, with an exceptional project, completed.

Biology:
The geological eras -
Paige addressed her 5-meter time-line, and marked the Precambrian era with a colored pencil. She determined how to add several events on the time-line, in the correct position. These events were provided by her instructor, and included several mass extinction events, the Cambrian radiation, the extinction of the wooly mammoth and the first human, among others.
Paige and I brainstormed a good topic for a persuasive speech she will need to give. We did a brainstorming web, a pro and cons list, and spent time researching evidence for and against her topic. She will need to email her Speech teacher her topic idea.
Paige continued to compile her research and arguments into the first draft of her research paper. She needs to turn in her first body paragraph, but we were in a nice work flow and she ended up writing the first three body paragraphs. We also organized her research to set her writing up nicely for the next two paragraphs. I also reviewed her Gods and Goddesses character descriptions.
We completed her homework for this week dealing with Right Triangle Trigonometry. She understands the concepts, and we had enough time to look a section ahead.
Received email from the school teacher and set a work plan.
Reviewed the grammar construction of the past tense.
Went over Regular past participles and how they change from their infinitive form.
Learned Irregular past participles.
I checked over Paige's Greek Mythology notes and reminded her that she needs to write a brief description of each of the gods and goddesses that were covered in the reading. Then, we reviewed Paige's outline for her biology research paper/composition. We talked about a good hook and how to pose the main question (thesis) of the paper in the introduction. Paige then started writing her introduction.

Lesson Comments
Paige feels a little intimidated about writing her research paper, mainly because she has not had a teacher double check her outline. I did that for her and we brainstormed together before she started her intro.
