Alexandra worked on several reading comprehension activities pertaining to birds, plants, frogs and toads.

She listened to and discussed a book about a bean, "The Cool Bean." She made a booklet about the life cycle of a bean. She checked on the corn and bean seeds she planted yesterday. She reviewed what plants need to survive, and the parts of a plant. She completed a sequencing activity about a bean story.

Alexandra watched a Brain Pop video about plants. She learned about the different parts of a plant. She learned what plants need to live. She planted corn seeds and bean seeds in a paper greenhouse to put in a window and wait for the seeds to sprout. She completed several activities reinforcing these concepts.

We listened to and learned a song about "Dem Bones." She put together a skeleton and added its organs. She labeled the skeleton. She labeled the organs. She used candy bones to complete a math graphing activity.

Aiden cleaned out his room for the end of the school year.

Teddy completed his calendar talk and calendar writing activity, he put together his daily sentence puzzle, and he read and discussed his Scholastic News Science Magazine about the bald eagle.

Colson was absent today.

Aiden learned about gravitational potential energy and its relationship to mass and height. He read "A Day in the Life of a Roller Coaster Designer" and we discussed.
