Aiden used materials to increase the potential and kinetic energy of a ball. He reviewed the squared relationship between kinetic energy and velocity. He completed the kinetic energy review questions and we went over them.
Aiden had completed all his assignments while in the lab this morning, but we reviewed the last page which was a puzzle requiring his knowledge of subject-specific terms/terminology to complete. Aiden answered all the questions correctly and was able to successfully figure out the answer to the puzzle.

Lesson Comments
I subbed for Jacqueline this afternoon. Mark F had him for lab in the morning and inadvertently gave Aiden the complete assignment to do - for both the lab and his afternoon science class. However, we were able to review the last page of his assignment to insure adequate comprehension.
Colson learned about solstices and equinoxes. He learned how to diagram the Earth's tilt in the summer and winter solstice, and the fall and spring equinox.
Aiden completed the lab "Picking Up Speed" where he measured volume of a crater versus height that a marble was dropped. He recorded and graphed his data. We talked about the relationship between acceleration and kinetic energy.
Libby completed her interactive calendar and helped take everything off of the bulletin board. She worked on her phonics activities finished her calendar talk and calendar writing, put together her daily sentence puzzle, and helped put together her science projects to take home.
Teddy completed his interactive calendar and helped take down all his calendar activities from the bulletin board. He helped to organize his science projects to take home.
