Colson was absent today. I took the period to lesson plan.

Chris learned about the layers of the Earth, their thicknesses, temperatures, and created a colored and labeled diagram: crust, outer mantle, inner mantle, outer core and inner core.

He reviewed types of fossils and watched a video about Petrified Forest National Park in Arizona. We discussed how the logs became petrified.
