Ayden read an article, "Basics of Identity" by Shahram Heshmat Ph.D. aloud. We talked about vocabulary words from the reading: misrepresent, formation, cognitive, internalize, fulfilling. Next, we discussed the main points of the article. After this, Ayden completed the last of his brainstorms about his own identity.
Ayden and I finished a discussion about the movie versus the book.
Introduced the concept of citation, Ayden recalled his prior knowledge. He supported his opinions on the movie with quotes from the book (looked through book to locate). Using a graphic organizer, Ayden completed a reflection on Ender's Game and analyzed key differences. He backed up his analysis with citations and quotations from the book.
