Jaydn read, discussed, and analyzed chapter 21 of The Great Alone. She then wrote comparing Matthew's trauma of losing his mother to Leni's life with her father and how this drives his character development in this chapter. She discussed the rising action of the chapter and its effect on the reader. She finished by reviewing the SAT vocabulary being studied.
During the first segment of the session ,Matthew completed all of the language portions of the practice Stanford Achievement Test. During the remainder of the session, I assisted Matthew in locating reliable sources for his ongoing research project on Dickens and the rigid Victorian class system. I demonstrated how to use the virtual card catalogue at the public library and recommended sources,. Likewise , we together scanned the internet for additional articles. Matthew noted all of the resources we located and will print the articles . HW- r next two chapters of Great Expectations.
