Cabo understood all the concepts presented about the Uno and the relation of voltage, current, and resistance.
We were introduced to his pet lizard which occupied most of Cabo's time. Probably should keep pets home.
This was our first session together. We covered an overview of what a computer is and the purpose and design of the basic parts. Covered Input, Processing, Storage (memory), and Output. Watched movies about computer design and about circuits.

First lesson with Mercer, spent some time getting to know the student.
Cabo was asked how he would explain or define coding to the layperson. He replied that coding is used for communicating with computers. When asked to elaborate, he agreed that people use coding to give computers instructions on what actions to perform. We listed some of its uses, which included programming websites, apps, and other technologies- and we discussed everyday examples of coding, which included bar-code scanners and the use of word processors to write letters and send emails and/or messages.

I was asked to sub for Jordan today, Friday, 10/08/21 - for one hour, from 12:30 - 1:30. Cabo asked if he could have the door open and the fan on as he was very hot and tired after playing tag outdoors during recess. I asked him to explain coding to me during class and he was succinct in his explanations but expanded a little more when (repeatedly) prompted.
Hank worked through several reading and math questions during our testing session today.

Hank was cooperative but at times lost attention and wandered off to try and do other things. He drew an inappropriate picture on the whiteboard in Jonathan's room at one point. I was able to get him back to focus on each occasion and he made good progress during our time. Our session went from 1:00pm to 2:30pm today.
