Vlad is learning the in's and out's of writing a research paper. I am a bit surprised that he is basically unfamiliar with writing research papers, using block quoting, and setting up a Works Cited page. Though his learning curve is steep, Vlad keeps pushing himself to get the job done right. I admire that.
Outline the stages of infection which occur at the cellular level due to viruses. How the host cell becomes damages or killed. List some common virus infections over the past few years. List the classification of viral infection and discuss each in full. Talk about viral latency and ow it may cause reinfection years later.
Vlad and I had to move his paper forward. He made no progress since our last class. We started with his own three paragraphs analyzing Rembrandt's painting "The Anatomy Lesson." He has a block quote from one art critic. That paragraph we had to set up using the three parts of The Sandwich. We then discussed Joseph Wright's painting "Experiment of a Bird in an Air Pump." It took time to analyze all the people in the painting for the suggestiveness of their faces and body language, but we got three paragraphs written analyzing Wright's painting. Did a lot of mechanical editing along the way. Vlad for Wednesday is to add: Title, introductory paragraph, three block quotes from art critics, and end with a concluding paragraph.
Assignment
Vlad to complete his essay by Wednesday's class.

In this activity, Vlad and I looked at the relationship between a function and its derivative. It is very important to see that a function can be worked with just knowing the derivative and a derivative can be worked with knowing the function. Many questions on the AP exam are dependent on this relationship.
In this activity, Vlad has completed 80% of the AP practice exam. When he completes this exam we are going to alternate between final exams from various universities and another AP practice exam.
